Z36.4: Antenatal screening for fetal growth retardation using ultrasound and other physical methods

An ante-natal screening test was carried out.

With an ante-natal screening test, certain disorders or abnormalities can be detected before the child is born. The test was done in order to monitor the child's growth.

A variety of test methods may be used to assess the child's growth. These include ultrasound tests. An ultrasound examination involves sending ultrasound waves from an ultrasound probe in the body. Depending on the structure of the tissue, different numbers of ultrasound waves are reflected. These waves are then converted to images that can be viewed on a screen.
