You were medically monitored in the days following the birth of your child.
Post-natal medical monitoring includes checks on blood pressure, for example. This enables detection of any circulatory problems caused by severe blood loss. How the womb adjusts after the birth is also monitored. There is also monitoring of any indications of possible inflammation or poor wound healing.
