Z87.3: Personal history of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue
You have or had a disease of the muscles, bones or connective tissue.
Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones. Connective tissue is found all over the body and fulfills various tasks. Connective tissue contains lots of fine fibers. Thus it can protect or stabilize organs. There is connective tissue beneath the skin and around muscles, for example. Tendons, ligaments and cartilage are also made of connective tissue.
Before the start of a medical measure, it is common to be asked about existing or past diseases. The reason for this is that these diseases may sometimes adversely affect a treatment. Furthermore, special measures may be required due to existing diseases, for example with support and care.
