Z94.1: Heart transplant status

In the past you had a heart transplant.

When an organ is transplanted, a diseased or missing organ is replaced by a healthy one.

The heart pumps blood through the body. In the process, the blood flows through blood vessels. The blood supplies all areas of the body with oxygen and nutrients.

If a heart is transplanted, the healthy heart comes from another person.
