Z96.60: Presence of a shoulder prosthesis
You have a prosthesis that has replaced your shoulder joint.
It is also possible that only one part of the joint was replaced by a prosthesis.
The shoulder joint is the joint between the shoulder blade and the humerus.
When a joint is badly worn or injured, it may be painful or less mobile. A prosthesis may then be provided. The prosthesis replaces the entire joint or specific parts of the joint. The prosthesis is anchored in the bone.
