Z96.7: Presence of other bone and tendon implants

One of your bones or tendons has been replaced.

Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones.

If a bone or tendon is severely damaged, they are sometimes removed and replaced. It is also possible that they have been missing from birth or not developed properly. Sometimes the bone or tendon is replaced by artificial material. They may also have been replaced by another bone or tendon. For example, a part of your cranial bone may have been replaced.
