Biopsy without incision on mouth, oral cavity, larynx, pharynx and hematopoietic organs: (Percutaneous) (needle) biopsy of lymph nodes, spleen and thymus: Lymph nodes, supraclavicular (Virchow’s node)

Tissue samples have been taken from lymph nodes in the area above your collarbone.

The lymph nodes are small bean-shaped objects. They are found throughout the body. Lymph nodes filter the tissue fluid. They are part of the defense system.

The collarbone is a bone at the front of the ribcage. It runs from the ribcage to the shoulder and joins the shoulder blade at the shoulder.

The tissue samples were taken using a needle. This needle was inserted through your skin into the relevant lymph nodes.
