1-494.6:
Biopsy without incision on other organs and tissue: Imaging-guided (percutaneous) biopsy of other organs and tissue: Peritoneum
Tissue samples have been taken from the connective tissue in your abdominal cavity.
The abdominal organs are located in the abdominal cavity. The inside of the abdominal cavity is covered by a thin membrane. This thin membrane also surrounds all the organs in the abdomen. The organs can move against each other thanks to this thin membrane. The tissue samples were taken from the thin membrane of connective tissue.
The tissue samples were taken using a hollow needle. This needle was inserted through your skin into the connective tissue in your abdominal cavity. At the same time, pictures were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
