1-529.1:

Incisional biopsy of eyes and adnexae: Incisional biopsy of other parts of eye: Ciliary body

During an operation on your eye, tissue samples were taken from your ciliary body.

The ciliary body is located in the eye on the edge behind the round iris. There is a spherical muscle in the ciliary body. This muscle is connected to the lens of the eye by a lot of threads of connective tissue all around it. The muscle can use these threads to change the shape of the lens. The ciliary body also produces the fluid for the inside of the eye.
