During an operation on your eye, tissue samples were taken from your eye socket.
The eye socket is a bony cavity in the face part of the skull. It is cone-shaped and padded with fatty tissue. Within it, the eye is well protected. The eye muscles, the tear duct and the optic nerve are also located in the eye socket.
