Incisional biopsy of other organs: Incisional biopsy of lymph nodes: Mesenteric
Tissue samples were taken from lymph nodes in the suspensory ligament for your abdominal organs during an operation.
The lymph nodes are small bean-shaped objects. They are found throughout the body. Lymph nodes filter the tissue fluid. They are part of the defense system.
In the abdomen there is a sort of suspensory ligament for certain organs. These organs include the stomach and the intestine, for example. The suspensory ligament stabilizes the organ in the abdomen though it can be moved. Blood vessels and nerves for the organ also normally run through the suspensory ligament.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
