Diagnostic puncture and aspiration: Diagnostic percutaneous puncture of urinary organs: Ureter
A sample has been taken from your ureter with a needle.
The ureter is a thin, muscular tube in the abdomen. There is usually one ureter on each side. The urine flows from the kidney, via the ureter, to the bladder.
The sample taken can be tissue or fluid. It can then be examined in the laboratory.
