1-930.1:
Infection monitoring and molecular/microbiological diagnostic procedures: Infection monitoring: Quantitative virological nucleic acid test
The quantity of certain viruses in your body has been determined.
To measure the quantity of a virus in the body, one can, for example, examine blood or other bodily fluids in a laboratory. The greater the quantity of a virus in the body, the more active the virus is. By measuring, one can find out how contagious the sick person is. With the help of regular checks, one can also observe the course of the disease. This way one can also check whether treatment with medication is effective. If the quantity of a virus in the body increases, then the treatment may not be working very well. The treatment can then be adapted accordingly.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
