Contrast-enhanced projection radiography: Oesophagography
Your oesophagus has been X-rayed. This involved using a contrast agent.
The oesophagus or gullet connects the mouth with the stomach. It is a muscular tube. The muscles in the oesophagus move food into the stomach.
A contrast agent is a fluid. The contrast agent is intended to help to differentiate the tissues more clearly from one another in the X‑ray examination.
