Other operations on skull, brain and meninges: Functional interventions on skull, brain and meninges: Remove a neurostimulator for brain stimulation or a drug pump for intraventricular infusion
In the past you had a brain pacemaker or a drug pump implanted. Your brain pacemaker or drug pump has now been removed.
A drug pump alway delivers a certain amount of medication straight into the liquor in the brain. So a drug like this usually has a very targeted effect in the brain. There are cavities with cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, around the brain and around the spinal cord. Among other things, the cerebrospinal fluid cushions the brain and spinal cord during knocks and also nourishes the brain cells.
When a drug pump is being used, the body also needs less of the drug than would be the case with tablets, for example.
The nervous system includes all the nerves in the body, as well as the brain and the spinal cord. The nerves run from the brain and spinal cord into the body. They convey information in the body. The information in the brain is transmitted via electrical signals.
A brain pacemaker usually consists of a device with one or more wires coming from it. A device like can be implanted in the head or somewhere else in the body. The device is also sometimes worn outside the body.
The device. This electricity is sent via wires to different parts of the brain as an electrical signal. This aims to favorably affect the activity.
