Your retina was lying on the choroid below.
The choroid is the middle layer in the casing of the eye. It lies between the sclera and the retina. There are lots of blood vessels in this layer. The choroid supplies oxygen and nutrients to the retina inside it.
The treatment connected your retina to your choroid. To do this, a laser was used to create a tiny scar on the retina. The scar should prevent your retina from becoming detached from your choroid.
