OPS-Code 5-789.3c:
Operations on other bones: Other operations on the bone: Inspection of osteosynthesis material without replacement of material: Phalanges of the hand
You had another operation on the phalanges of your hand. In the past, this area was stabilized with aids.
The hand is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The hand can be divided into 3 sections. The wrist (carpus) is directly connected to the forearm. Then comes the metacarpus and then the individual fingers. The thumb consists of 2 finger bones. The other fingers consist of 3 finger bones.
To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example. During a repeat operation, the aids can be checked and if necessary reattached. However, your aids were not replaced.
