8-011.2:
Administration of medication and nutrients: Intrathecal and intraventricular administration of medication by infusion pumps: Refilling and programming of implantable, programmable constant flow infusion pump with variable day profile
You have been treated because of your drug pump which releases medication straight into your cerebrospinal fluid.
There are cavities with cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, around the brain and around the spinal cord. Among other things, the cerebrospinal fluid cushions the brain and spinal cord during knocks and also nourishes the brain cells. Cerebrospinal fluid circulates around the spinal cord, as it does the brain.
You have a drug pump in your body. Your drug pump has been refilled. Your drug pump’s settings have been changed, too.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
