Manipulation of urinary tract: Insertion, replacement and removal of ureteral stent: Unspecified

Your ureter has been treated using a tube.

The ureter is a thin, muscular tube in the abdomen. There is usually one ureter on each side. The urine flows from the kidney, via the ureter, to the bladder.

A tube in the ureter is usually made of plastic. The aim of the tube is to ensure that the ureter remains open so that the urine can flow away unhindered.
