A06.2: Amoebic nondysenteric colitis
You have been infected with amebae. As a result, your intestines have become inflamed.
Amebae are pathogens that occur especially in the Earth’s warm regions. You can be infected with amebae via contaminated foods or drinks. If you are infected, the symptoms usually only occur after several days. The amebae damage the mucous membranes in the intestines. This results in inflammation of the intestines.
Inflammation of the intestines commonly causes diarrhea. The diarrhea is often watery.
