A06.7: Cutaneous amoebiasis
You have been infected with amebae. As a result, you have developed a skin sore.
Amebae are pathogens that occur especially in the Earth’s warm regions. You can be infected with amebae via contaminated foods or drinks. If you are infected, the symptoms usually only occur after several days. Amebae often cause inflammation of the intestines. They can then cause diarrhea.
If amebae spread in the body, skin sores can form. These sores are often severely painful.
