A06.8: Amoebic infection of other sites

You have been infected with amebae. As a result, an area of your body has become inflamed.

Amebae are pathogens that occur especially in the Earth’s warm regions. You can be infected with amebae via contaminated foods or drinks. If you are infected, the symptoms usually only occur after several days. Amebae often cause inflammation of the intestines. They can then cause diarrhea.

The amebae can cause inflammation in other areas of the body. The symptoms depend on which area is affected.
