A32.0: Cutaneous listeriosis

You have been infected with listeria. As a result, your skin has become inflamed.

You have become infected with certain bacteria. These bacteria are called listeria. Listeria occur for example in unwashed vegetables, raw milk or raw meat and fish. It is also possible to be infected by regular contact with animals in agriculture. With a listeria infection, it is common to have no symptoms or only a few. But if the defense system is weak, it is possible to become seriously ill with listeria.

If your skin is inflamed by listeria, you will usually have small red lumps or blisters at the affected sites.
