You have been infected by dengue fever.

Dengue fever is caused by viruses. You can get infected by being bitten by an infected mosquito. The disease occurs in tropical and sub-tropical regions.

If it is mild you can feel sick or be nauseous. You may also have very sore limbs, headaches and stomach ache. Pinkish spots or papules may appear on the skin.

If it is severe, you may experience bleeding. There may be spots or patches of bleeding on the skin. But the bleeding can also affect internal organs. You may vomit blood. You may also have severe circulatory problems. Organs such as the liver, heart and kidneys can get seriously damaged. You can also fall unconscious.
