A98.4: Ebola virus disease
You have been infected by the Ebola virus.
The Ebola virus occurs in Africa. It can be transmitted to humans via simians or bats. You can catch it by coming into contact with the bodily fluids of an infected animal or person.
This virus can cause a feverish illness. First of all you can have headaches, sore limbs and a sore throat. You may also suffer from vomiting and diarrhea. Spots or patches of blood can appear on the skin. You may also have bleeds in internal organs. The Ebola virus can cause inflammation of the brain. You can then become confused or lose consciousness. You can also suffer seizures. You may also be unable to move certain parts of your body properly. You may think and behave abnormally. You may be seriously ill.
