You have been infected with herpes viruses. The viruses have spread through your body.
There are various kinds of herpes viruses. You have been infected with herpes simplex viruses. A person can be infected with herpes viruses via saliva, for example, or through sex. Some of the viruses remain in your body throughout your life. For example, if you are stressed or the defense system is weakened, the viruses can cause symptoms again.
You defense system was probably weak. That could be because of some other illness or medication. This is why the condition has been more severe than normal in your case.
The viruses have propagated in various of your organs.
The symptoms depend on which organs have been damaged. For example, the kidneys or liver may no longer work properly. The brain may also no longer be able to work properly. You might be very tired or even fall unconscious. Your heart may beat very fast, which sometimes results in very rapid breathing. The viruses will often make you feel weak, and you may have a high fever. The viruses can make you severely ill.
