B40.8: Other forms of blastomycosis

You have blastomycosis.

Blastomycosis is caused by fungi. They occur in the soil in North America, Africa and India. Fungi produce resistant spores in order to propagate. Drafts can spread the spores around the environment. You can become ill through inhaling the fungal spores with the dust. You can then get a fever, coughing and muscle pain.
