B45.8: Other forms of cryptococcosis
You have cryptococcosis.
You have been infected by certain pathogens in the cryptococcosis group. Cryptococci are yeasty fungi. These fungi occur in bird droppings, for example. You can become infected by these fungi if you breathe in unclean dust.
These germs then cause cryptococcosis if the defense system is weak, in particular. The immune system can be weakened by another illness, for example, or by a treatment. If you are infected with the germs, the symptoms usually only appear after several months.
For examples, the germs may propagate in your lungs, brain, skin or other organs. The symptoms depend on which parts of the body the condition has affected.

- G: Confirmed diagnosis
- V: Tentative diagnosis
- Z: Condition after
- A: Excluded diagnosis
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
