B60.2: Naegleriasis
You have been infected with amebae. As a result, tissue in your body has become inflamed.
Amebae are pathogens that are mainly found in the earth and in water.
The pathogens sometimes get into the body via the nose, throat or airways, and then spread via the blood. If the brain becomes inflamed, the person often has a high temperature and headaches. They may also get cramp attacks and no longer be able to move certain areas of the body properly. The person may also lose consciousness. In that case, you may be seriously ill.
