You have abnormal tissue in several glands. The abnormal tissue tumor can be benign or malignant.
When there is abnormal growth of tissue, then this is also referred to as a tumor. The tissue in the body is made up of cells. A tumor disorder involves the cells multiplying more than normal. This results in abnormal or excess tissue forming. A tumor can be benign or malignant.
In your case, several of the glands that produce messenger substances are affected. The glands influence many processes in the body via the messenger substances. These glands can include the thyroid gland, the parathyroid gland, the adrenal glands and the pituitary gland.
