Your blood clotting is impaired. This means that you can bleed more easily or blood clots form in your body more easily.

Your blood clots too quickly or too slowly. Blood clotting is controlled by many different proteins in the blood. If there is too little or too much of these proteins, then this can alter blood clotting. Drugs, antibodies and toxins can also affect blood clotting.
