E16.3: Increased secretion of glucagon
You have too many specific messenger substances (hormones) in your blood.
The pancreas produces various messenger substances for the body. One messenger substance is called glucagon. This messenger substance affects many processes in the body. The messenger substance glucagon thus increases the sugar level in the blood, among other things.
You have too much of the messenger substance glucagon in your blood. As a result, you may have various symptoms. Changes to the skin are common as a result. The sugar level in the blood may be too high. The mucous membrane in the mouth may become inflamed and grow thinner.
