E28.0: Ovarian dysfunction: Estrogen excess
Your ovaries are not working properly. You have too many female sex hormones in your body. Your menstruation may be changed.
There are two ovaries in the body. The ovaries are influenced by regulating messenger substances from the brain. The ovaries themselves create various sex hormones. These include female and male sex hormones. The sex hormones affect the female cycle, fat distribution in the body, skin and hairiness, for example.
Your ovaries are creating too many female sex hormones from the group of estrogens. Estrogens look after female fat distribution, for example, and ensure that the breasts grow. Estrogens can also ensure that the mucous membrane in the uterus becomes thick. As a result, you may have a more intense period.
