E34.0: Carcinoid syndrome

You are having problems due to a tumor that is producing messengers.

The tissue in the body is made up of cells. A tumor disorder involves the cells multiplying more than normal. This results in abnormal or excess tissue forming. A tumor can be benign or malignant.

Certain tumors produce various messengers and release them into the blood. The messengers can cause various problems such as diarrhea and stomach cramps. You can also get sudden hot flushes, along with a reddening of the skin of the face, neck and upper body. The messengers can also damage the heart. The messengers can also cause a narrowing of the airways. This may then cause breathing problems.
