You have been found to have a vitamin B6 deficiency.

Vitamins are substances the body needs for many tasks. The body is unable produce most vitamins by itself. These vitamins must be taken in through food. There are various B vitamins. These are distinguished with successive numbers.

Vitamin B6 is a component of many proteins. These proteins help prepare energy in the body. Vitamin B6 is moreover important for creating the red blood pigment. The red blood pigment transports oxygen in the body. Vitamin B6 is most notably contained in yeast, cereal, fish, meat, dairy products and eggs.

You may have taken insufficient vitamin B6 with your food. In some situations, your body needs more vitamin B6 than normally. You can then take additional vitamin B6 by injection or as tablets.

If you have insufficient vitamin B6 in your body, you may have various symptoms. You may have an irritation reaction. It is also possible that your lips, skin, or conjunctiva of your eyes will be inflamed.
