E64.9: Sequelae of unspecified nutritional deficiency
In the past you were lacking nourishment or important nutrients. As a result, you are having symptoms.
Your body needs food in order to have enough energy, grow and stay healthy. Food is made up of various nutrients. Food contains important nutrients that the body is unable to produce itself, for example. These nutrients must be consumed with food.
When you do not get enough nourishment or important nutrients, various problems can occur. Some of the problems may also occur when you once more get enough nourishment and nutrients.
There can be various reasons why there is a temporary lack of nourishment or important nutrients. For example, you may not have eaten enough for a certain time. It may also be that in the past you consumed too little food with important nutrients. It is also possible that, due to some other condition, you were temporarily unable to properly absorb nourishment or nutrients.
