You have too much or too little calcium in your body.

Calcium for instance is important for bone stability. Furthermore, we need calcium, among other things, for our muscles and nerves.

If you have too little calcium in your blood, you may have muscle cramps, for example. If you have too much calcium in your blood, you may for instance have abdominal discomfort or the joints may be painful.

Various diseases may change the calcium content in your body. There are also congenital diseases that increase or decrease the calcium content.
