You have been diagnosed as having a lack of fluid in your body.

There are various causes for the body losing fluid. They include severe vomiting or diarrhea. Severe sweating can also result in the body losing a lot of fluid. Certain drugs increase the amount of fluid being excreted through the kidneys. You may also have too little fluid in your body if you drink too little. Elderly people often drink less because a feeling of thirst declines in old age.

You may have various symptoms if you have too little fluid in your body. Your skin and tongue may be dry. Your blood pressure can decrease. You may also have a faster heartbeat.
