F16.4: Mental and behavioural disorders due to use of hallucinogens Withdrawal state with delirium

You have hallucinogen withdrawal symptoms. The withdrawal alters your state of consciousness.

Hallucinogens are substances that can affect things like your thinking, feelings and your own perception. LSD is an example of a hallucinogen. However, hallucinogens are also found in some fungi or plants such as angel trumpets.

Before a hallucinogen withdrawal the person has usually consumed too many hallucinogens over a long period of time. When someone goes through withdrawal, they have various physical symptoms, because they are consuming fewer or no hallucinogens.

The withdrawal also alters your state of consciousness. For example, your awareness and memory may alter. One may also no longer know who or where one is.
