You are intoxicated through tobacco.

Tobacco is a plant. Nicotine is an active ingredient found in tobacco. For example, tobacco can be smoked or snuffed.

You are intoxicated because you have consumed tobacco. This results in an altered state of consciousness. Intoxication can alter things like your perception, mood and behavior. Your heart may be racing and you may sweat a lot. You may also have the urge to vomit.
