You want certain drugs that contain messenger substances very badly. You are damaging your health as a result.

You are taking certain drugs that contain messenger substances. You do not have to take them, however. Maybe you were prescribed these drugs to begin with. Now you do not actually need the drugs any more. But you are taking the messenger substances nevertheless. Physical harm can be caused by taking them. When an attempt is made to dissuade someone from taking the drugs, the advice is usually rejected.
