G11.0: Congenital nonprogressive ataxia
You have a congenital condition that means your cerebellum is unable to control movements properly.
The cerebellum is part of the brain. The cerebellum is important for movement and balance. The cerebellum stores movement processes, for example, how one eats with cutlery or rides a bike.
The condition prevents you from executing movements with precision. For example, you may be unable to walk properly. You may also be unable to balance properly. The condition can also affect your speech. You may also be unable to control your eye movements properly. There may be other symptoms, too.
The disease is hereditary. Other family members may also be affected.
