G99.2: Myelopathy in diseases classified elsewhere
Your spinal cord has been damaged.
Your spinal cord has been damaged by another disorder. The spinal cord is located in the spinal column. The spinal cord is made up of nerve fibers. The brain uses the nerve fibers to exchange information with the organs, skin and muscles.
If the nerves and the spinal cord are damaged, there can be a variety of failure symptoms. Your sense of touch may then stop working properly, for example. Sometimes people are no longer able to move certain muscles properly, or their skin feels tingly.
