H00.1: Chalazion
The glands in your eyelid are inflamed.
The eyelids along with the lashes are located above and under the eye. They protect the eye from injuries and drying out. Fat, muscles, and several glands are included in the eyelid, among other things. The glands produce some partly fatty elements for the layer of fluid on the eye.
Because a sebaceous gland in your eyelid has been inflamed for a long time, the gland’s drainage has got blocked. As a result, the sebum has accumulated in the gland. A solid lump has formed on your eyelid. Often there are no symptoms.
