H05.5: Retained (old) foreign body following penetrating wound of orbit
You have one or more foreign bodies in your eye socket.
The eye socket is a bony cavity in the face part of the skull. It is cone-shaped and padded with fatty tissue. Within it, the eye is well protected. The eye muscles, the tear duct and the optic nerve are also located in the eye socket.
At some point in the past you injured your eye. As a result, there are one or more foreign bodies in your eye socket. If a foreign body remains in the eye socket, it can become inflamed.
