H18.0: Corneal pigmentations and deposits

You have discoloration in the cornea of your eye.

The cornea is located at the front of the eye. It is transparent and curved. The curvature focuses light in the eye. This is vital to be able to see clearly.

You have deposits in your cornea. Various substances can build up in the cornea. These substances can include iron or copper. The deposits can be visible in the cornea from the outside, for example as a colored line or ring. The color of the deposit differs depending on which substance has been deposited. These deposits can have many different causes. They can be due to surgery or another condition, for example, or develop as a result of the consumption of certain medicines.
