H18.4: Corneal degeneration
The cornea of your eye has changed.
The cornea is located at the front of the eye. It is transparent and curved. The curvature focuses light in the eye. This is vital to be able to see clearly.
Your cornea has become cloudy in some areas. This kind of cloudiness can develop, for example, when calcium or fats build up in the cornea. This can happen after an inflammation or as a result of other disorders, for example. The cloudy area of the cornea can take various forms. A cloudy line can form in the cornea, for example. A cloudy cornea means you may no longer be able to see very well with that eye.
