H43.2: Crystalline deposits in vitreous body
The vitreous body in your eye is cloudy.
The vitreous body of the eye consists of a transparent, gel-like fluid. It is surrounded by a thin membrane and fills the entire rear area of the eye. This is how it gives the eye its shape.
Small crystals have formed in your vitreous body. As a result, your vitreous body is not transparent in some places.
When there are cloudy areas in the vitreous body, one may see small gray specks moving. These specks are sometimes compared with flies flying.
