I49.0: Ventricular fibrillation and flutter

Your heart’s ventricles have been beating far too quickly.

The heart pumps blood through the body. Inside the heart are 4 chambers. There are 2 heart atria and 2 ventricles. Both heart atria and both ventricles are separated from each other by a partition.

If the ventricles beat far too quickly, the heart is no longer able to pump the blood properly. As a result, the organs receive too little blood. If your brain does not get enough blood, after a few seconds you can lose consciousness. The disorder is life-threatening. The heart can stop beating.
