I62.02: Nontraumatic subdural haemorrhage: Chronic
You have had bleeding between the tough meninx and the outer soft meninx.
On the outside of the brain and spinal cord there are three thin meninges (linings). A tough meninx, the dura mater, is on the outside. Below that are two soft meninges. There has been a bleed in the space between your dura mater and your outer pia mater (soft meninx).
The bleeding has been there for a long time.
There is not a lot of room in one’s head. When there is bleeding inside the head, the brain can become compressed. Brain tissue may be damaged as a result. If the bleeding develops slowly, one may have general symptoms. For example, one’s thinking may become very slow, or one may be unable to move properly. Sometimes one has problems memorizing things.
